NAZRAN. June 23 (Interfax) - The death toll from the recent guerilla attacks in Ingushetia has risen to 60, an Ingush government source told Interfax on Wednesday.
The casualties include 49 law enforcement officers, among them 11 policemen from the Kursk region, two from the Samara region, two from Chechnya, and eight officers from the Federal Security Service's (FSB) branch for Ingushetia.
Twenty-five Ingush policemen and eight local FSB officers were injured.
The source said that these figures are tentative.
Referring to Ingush Interior Ministry estimates, earlier reports had put the death toll at 56.
