Two things:
Why is Nader giving advice to Kerry that he should pick Edwards as Veep?
Why should he care about who Kerry picks if he is really running for President?
Also, here is a brief article about his meeting yesterday with the CBC. Doesn't sound like a lovefest. I know it was all Democrats -- no Black Republican in Congress, but hey -- if Nader wanted to be progressive he could have picked a Black man as a running mate.

Get your ass outâ
Members of the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) had a harsh and simple message yesterday for independent presidential candidate Ralph Nader: âGet your ass out.â
Rep. Carolyn Kilpatrick (D-Mich.) made that comment to the man many Democrats blamed for putting Bush in the White House, according to several sources in the closed-door meeting.
âMany of us told him that,â said Rep. Major Owens (D-N.Y.). But Nader appeared unwilling to heed the CBCâs advice, causing many black lawmakers to express their frustration.
âThe guyâs got a Messiah complex,â said Rep. Al Wynn (D-Md.). âHeâs all over the park on why he wants to run. He gives you all kinds of reasons, none of which match the rationale of his candidacy.â
Nader arrived at the meeting 30 minutes late, and it was interrupted by a series of roll-call votes. Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-Md.), chairman of the CBC, said he hoped the meeting had âan impact on his conscience.â âNow we pray that heâll synchronize his conscience with his conduct.
