No. No. Yes. That's the reason why after two separate experiences in the corporate world, I came running back with open arms to a law firm. Brain food.

Or maybe it was because those two corporate experiences were Enron and El Paso Corp. "Raised to the Power of El Paso." Blech. Yeah, a good one to tell the masses as the stock tanks and the company teeters on bankruptcy. I forget the mantra from Enron. Blocked it.

Nah, it was the need for mental calisthenics on the job that drew me back. Granted, it's a simple feudal economy (the serfs/staff/paralegals work for the lords/lawyers/partners who split the pie amongst themselves), but the conversation is lucid, engaging and invigorating, and good communication and language skills are still highly valued.

Hey, there *is* some benefit to having lawyers around!
