For all of Carrol's endless harrumphing, he manages to impart more odd bits of personal info than anyone I've encountered in cyberspace. Over the years I have learned that Carrol: (a) was in USAF intelligence and spent his time intercepting Czech border patrol communications; (b) enjoys picking raspberries; (c) reads Das Kapital while on his exercise bike; (d) prefers Allen Edmonds shoes; and (e) spent his career elucidating arguably the two dreariest writers ever to put pen to paper, Milton and Pound. That's a quite a bit of Cox-iana to amass without trying!
