Don't be afraid, it won't bite you! It's not as good as "Whispering Pines," that's for sure, but it's kind of pleasantly weird. The chorus is like more-or-less regular country singing over guitar and fiddle, but the verses, the guy doesn't sing them but _raps_ them (in sort of a nasal country-music accent, but Hell, if you can recognize the loveliness of Joe Strummer's speech-of-an-animal-scream on the first album without having recoiled at first blow, you're broad-minded enough to handle this), complete with rappish interior rhymes, over an organ and a kind of reggae-backbeat guitar. The effect is vaguely disorienting genre-wise, like some of those oddball tracks on Sandinista! are.
