Come on, Doug--you know (1) and the first half of (2) are
rhetorical, designed to remind the Vote For Any Dumbocrat Anywhere
crowd of an issue they have quite successfully excluded from
their political consciousness.  And the rest is specifically
directed to Mike Larkin.
