The problem with virtually any candidate the populace has been "offered", whether it's Nader, Kerry, or any number of lower-echelon politicians, is that they're largely freaks of nature. The very processes that've molded and positioned them over time to make them "suitable for office" rob them of the daily life experiences that make for well-rounded individuals. They're isolated and insulated from the mundane realties of life that most people take for granted, their perspectives are unduly influenced by the slants/agendas of the select few who manage to gain access and monopolize their attention, they have little time each day for idle discovery or relaxed contemplation, etc.
