Does this mean that about 37% favor gay marriage?

If so, then assuming one out of three not only favor gay marriage but are willing to work for it, then that gives 12$ of the population as potential activists. And if that 12$ stays with it, noisily and obstructively*, then the future of gay marriage is assured.

*"Obstructively": This means, at root, making it impossible to carry on public conversation without the subject coming up. It does _not_, necessarily, involve demos, window smashing, etc etc etc. It _does_ mean that it can't be confined to polite lobbying etc.
