What is interesting is to hear Vidal say: "They (the Vietnamese) want to organize their own country in their own way politically." Little has really changed -- we still want governments to form the way we want them to.
One turn for the worse is instead of Gore Vidal we get twinks like Al Franken. Though Gore was good on the last Bill Maher show of the season.
Can you imagine today an openly queer man being allowed on network tv to represent the progressive side?
