Here are the major recent polls with the change from the last poll by each outfit. After Bush had a series of bad weeks where he was trailing Kerry in most polls, his ad blitz basically took him to even with Kerry (except for Gallup, where he had a small leg up). This is hardly overwhelming numbers after such an ad blitz. This election is going to go back and forth for months-- where it will be won is by the slow and steady growth of grassroots mobilization by the unions, enviros, civil rights groups, womens groups and others who are doing large step-by-step outreach. It's frigging March and these numbers mean nothing other than Bush is extremely vulnerable, since any incumbent not consistently breaking 50% is always in danger.

National Gallup 3/26-28 Bush: 51 (+7) Kerry: 47 (-5)

Pew 3/22-28 Bush: 44 (+2) Kerry: 43 (-6)

Newsweek 3/25-26 Bush: 47 (-1) Kerry: 48 (-)

Fox 3/23-24 Bush: 44 (-) Kerry: 44 (-) -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed...
