Why? "Progressive" almost by definition is a relative term.  Kerry's
policies will unquestionably be progress away from Bush's sinkhole of
rightwing corporatism.  Kerry's pro-affirmative action, pro-abortion,
supports the laundry list of labor law reforms, and wants to tax the
wealthy.  It's not socialism but it's a decent start.
