Precisely. If he punts this one, even the ABB Club, of which I am a charter member, will throw up their hands. (And their lunches, as well.)

This election year is getting more and more interesting. The way Iraq is going now, it looks as though by November both Bush and Kerry will be campaigning on the platform: "We are determined, shoulder to shoulder, to reconquer Iraq, the country that threw us out in July."
