depends on what you mean by "civil." if you want boredom, log on to leo casey's democraticleft list at yahoo. they'll throw you off if you're not "civil" and if you don't sign your name to all your postings; for having opinions and for lots of other reasons which appeal to the list managers at the time. they like conformity, no iconoclasm, and people who know what to kiss and when.
