Wait a second -- is this Stalin-killed-the-Jews nonsense Paxton's
argument, which Eagleton is merely quoting? Or is this a typo -- two
sentences which stumbled into each other? I'm having a hard time believing
Eagleton actually wrote something this bone-headed.
