That reminds me of an old Brezhnev joke that retains much of its validity in the US.
A Brezhnev's body guard calls his boss and says "Comrade, we have a problem. Comrade Brezhnev is walking around the Red Square, picking up stones, and putting them into his pockets." "Ah, those damn scientists" shouts the boss angrily "they must have mixed up the software and uploaded the Lunokhod program by mistake."
Lunokhod (literally: "Moon walker") was a robotic vehicle the Soviets sent to the Moon.
Judging by the presidency of Reagan and the current bumpkin occupying the White House - the tradition of brain-dead and pre-programmed "leaders" is well and alive in the US.
