I will work diligently on what you want me to read,but don't hold your breath. I have read that book that I got from the Berkeley left book store in 1992. I can't remember the name right now, but it is left,gay scholars on the history of gay liberation. I have read Harry Hay on subject-subject sex. Then don't you think there has been quite a bit of discussion of these issues on this and related lists ? However, after Kant, I do think for myself too.
What about the thesis that there is a significant male supremacist consciousness in male same-sexing history ? "Boys are better..at everything". The potential link between male supremacism and exploiting ruling class ideology has to be a hypothesis concerning ancient Greece, for example, on the theory that the male supremacist family, private property and the state arise as a complex.
In thinking about this thread, I get real concrete on the origins of various same-sexings, even within the current historical "genre". For example, some come to it in boarding schools through various traditions. Some come to it in prison. Some in fraternities. These hypothetically involve a lot of male supremacist ideologies intermingled. By that I mean, "If males are superior, then doing a male is a higher form of doing it." There are hazing and just "fraternity" traditions with this ideology, I hypothesize, I infer from indirect data :>) in my experience over the years,like when I was in boarding school and a fraternity.
Also, I get data from Black women discussing the "on the down low" phenomenon. Deborah and I are working on a report on this thread for you :>)

You have never shown any knowledge, over the last 4 or 5 yrs. I have been here, pre-existing on the issues of the relations between gay lib and the Socialist and Communist Left, or have done any of the reading, from lists I have sent at leat 4 or 5 times, most recently just a week ago, of a good # of sources, starting w/, "Gay Men and the History of the Socialist Left, " if my memory serves, the anthology taken from the Journal of Homosexuality, I have cited repeatedly, or volumes on such as Harry Hay, who was in the CPUSA (Will Geer's lover btw, in the 30's) -clip-
