I am not sure why any new government in India should be in a permanent state of conflict with US. There will be areas of agreement and areas of disagreement with US. What does it mean to be anti-imperialist in the contemporary world?

This is equally true of the US Left. It focuses on the US imperial hegemony as the criteria by which everything is to be judged, only reversing the terms. What is good for US imperialism is bad and vice versa.
