That he was. Folks should read his "Revolutionary Nonviolence," too. I recall his response when asked whether local organizing or national mobilizations (of the kind that were mounted twice a year in DC and San Francisco during the Vietnam War) were more important: "Which is more important, breathing in or breathing out?"
He will be greatly missed.
