Interesting analysis, but one part I find really amazing: that the
Pentagon didn't think there would be a guerrilla opposition to its
occupation. Hard to believe they were that naive, but perhaps they
really did convince themselves that the Iraqis would universally greet
them as liberators, as in Japan and Germany.
