This implicitly rejects the idea that, say, belief in the possibility of Rapture or in the "evil eye" of a demonized woman is expressive of deeply rooted psychopathology very resistant to change. It seems to assume that such beliefs result wholly from being misinformed and can, therefore, easily be corrected through didactic methods.
