Those figures must have been accidently inverted. Reports here show that Kerry votes were up in urban (black, gay, progressive) precincts, per historical usual, and Bush took, as always, the suburban and rural vote. It does not vary. The 'burbs in Texas are a part of Bush's strongest base.
