>No it's not. This is the way the Repubs would have played it and so

The Democratic Party will not do what rank-and-file Democratic voters think it should do -- not on its own. Can rank-and-file Democrats on the left make Democratic Party politicians fight for democratic rights to vote and have the votes counted -- against the politicians' own interests? While campaigning for John Kerry, registering voters and getting them out to vote, have rank-and-file Democrats built and kept control of their own databases of names and contact information of organizers, activists, volunteers, and voters on the left, so they can activate the rank-and-file networks for purposes of their own, defying the order of the Democratic Party to stand down? Or have they given away all the names and contact information they collected while volunteering to the bureaucrats of the Democratic Party, unions, non-profits, etc., thus left without their own bases of power and unable to make any move independently (of ACT, MoveOn, Working America, the Democratic Party, etc.) now? -- Yoshie
