Yes, the totals are in both screenshots (on the left) and the difference amount to less than 100 units. The following is from comment #21 on the same page:

*21. The updated numbers aren't even mathematically possible.*

Edited on Wed Nov-03-04 02:56 AM by MacGregor

Unless the original figures were in error. But even if they uncovered an additional 57 respondents, the math doesn't work. (And why, then all of a sudden /now/ are the original figures in error? Does someone need a legitimacy booster shot now? Shit, don't answer that...)

I think my math is right, here, but try to follow:

With 1,963 respondents, a 47% *men* respondents figure is 923. A

49%/51% B/K split is 452/471. With 2,020 respondents, a 47% figure

is 950 men, an addition of 27 men respondents. A 52%/47% B/K split

is 494/456. Except even if all 27 new responses were solely for *,

it could be no more than 479/471 (50.4%/49.6% B/K ).

With 1,963 respondents, a 53% *women* respondents figure is 1040.

A 47%/53% B/K split is 489/551. With 2,020 respondents, a 53%

figure is 1070 women, an addition of 30 women respondents. A 50/50

B/K split is 535/535. Except even if all 30 new responses were

solely for *, it could be no more than 519/551 (48.5%/51.5% B/K).

Jesus, we been so /completely/ jobbed by the pollsters and media. Fuck, these assholes learned /nothing/ from 2000, did they? Not that they give a round little damn, of course.

And this is from comment 46: *46. Math clearly shows updated results are RIGGED...*

... to reflect the vote counts that were reported.

*First CNN exit poll:*

1963 respondents: 47% Male (923), 53% Female (1040)

Males for Bush: 49% of Males = 452 voters Females for Bush: 47% of Females = 489 voters

Males for Kerry: 51% of Males = 471 Females for Kerry: 53% of Females = 551

*Second CNN exit poll:*

2020 respondents (57 more than the first report): 47% Male (949), 53% Female (1071)

Males for Bush: 52% of Males = 493 voters. Females for Bush: 50% of Females = 535 (and a half, I don't know how they rounded)

Males for Kerry: 47% of Males = 456 Females for Kerry: 50% of Females = 535 (and a half)

Hello? Apparently not only did they find an extra 57 voters HOURS after the polls closed to add to their **exit polling** results, but they LOST 21 Men and 16 Women who had voted for Kerry in order to make the exit polls match the vote count. Maybe they just decided after the fact that those people had actually said they voted for Bush and they misheard them... because Bush's totals went up by well MORE than 57 votes.

There can be no doubt, the update is bogus.

I like also comment *37: KICK THIS FUCKING THREAD UP!

*My opinion: declaring defeat has been the greatest error (?) of ABB. In any case, US elections are a joke.
