I'm sitting in traffic yesterday, and I see the car in front of me
has license plates that feature dolphins and the Marine Mammal
Recovery Center, part of a potpourri of special interest and alma
mater designs you can get in Texas, and $22 of your $30 application
fee goes to the charity featured.  A quick look around the rest of
the bumper confirmed that this person was a supporter of several
animal rights and ecological groups, from the local zoo to
Greenpeace, no less.

So of course it made perfect sense to see the  "W '04!"  sticker
nestled on top of the back window.
