[better late than never I guess - McReynolds is a wonderful guy and Schumer is a creep]

Brief, urgent post from David McReynolds, Green Party candidate for US Senate

This is primarily for everyone in New York State but those of you not in New York can be of great help if you forward this post to any contacts you have in New York.

Most of you have gotten earlier posts announcing that the Green Party in New York had nominated me for the US Senate, running against Chuck Schumer.

I am not sure, however, if we ever got back to folks with the news that I am on the ballot, even though David Cobb, the Green Party Presidential candidate, was ruled off the ballot.

Because it had been so uncertain we would get on the ballot, the campaign was slow in moving ahead with printed material, buttons, etc. Those materials are being printed now. Given the fact Schumer has over $22 million dollars to spend, and no real opposition, our job is to use the internet as a kind of "underground" way of making up for the impossibility of running TV ads or buying ad space in the press.

If you want to vote against the war, please let your friends, local community, etc., know that Chuck Schumer is for the war in Iraq, for the "Patriot Act", and very weak on the issue of gay marriage. The full platform on which I'm running, along with information on how you can make a contribution, is available on our website:

<http://www.mcreynoldsforsenate.org> With your help we can roll up a serious protest vote against the war, and against politics as usual. Thanks very much for passing this post on to your friends and neighbors (and apologies in advance for inevitable duplications).

David McReynolds
