Yes, and it also obscures the huge grain of truth in Yoshie's point, which
is that the DP is an obstruction to the radical expansion of voting. Sure,
it's comparatively better than the RP by a little, but why in the world do
we have to have this gothic system of registration we have? Why not
universal reg at birth, for starters? Why should anybody have to buy their
own stamp to mail in a reg? Why the Tuesday voting days? Why dump boiling
oil on Jesse Jackson, who pointed out that the premise of this whole quarter
century of Republican Lite shit is a DP that turns its back on workers and
blacks?
