I wonder what exactly makes you, John Lacny, etc. possess the temerity to suggest that you are smarter, more self-disciplined, more hard-working, less self-aggrandizing, more capable of offering concrete support to struggling hotel workers, etc. than the brothers of ILWU Local 10. Not just through the Million Worker March but throughout their long-standing work as active members of the labor movement, ILWU Local 10 have done far more for hotel workers as well as many others than you, Lacny, etc. probably ever can.

Really, I have a hard time believing that you seriously mean what you say. Suppose that ILWU Local 10 waited until a million workers got fired up to mobilize for the program of the Million Worker March. By then, the current stage of hotel workers' strikes, lockouts, and contract negotiations -- the topic that John mentioned -- would be over. ILWU Local 10 did what they could to support their fellow workers before and during the Million Worker March, and I'm sure that they will continue to do so in the future, being one of the trade union locals that are among the most reliable allies of struggling workers at home and abroad. Seriously, I'd be impressed if you or John, through your work with your respective locals (<http://www.psufa.org/> and District 1199P/SEIU), managed to do one hundredth of what ILWU Local 10 has done regarding solidarity with their fellow workers at home and abroad. -- Yoshie
