ask him if he feels he has a greater understanding of the 
russian - and other soviet - people, now, than when he 
served as their leader...

then,  ask him how it was so easy to completely turn the 
entire nation around economically, and to the disadvantage 
of so many, after seventy years of alleged training and 
education to maintain the exact opposite...
