[lbo-talk] MoveOn v. Bush

MoveOn.org stinks, stinks, stinks. The gulf between what they advertise themselves as doing and what they actually do is wider than any other political group since the UJA flew down to liberate San Marcos (and at least the UJA admitted what they went down for). Hell, look at the name -- this pathetic travesty of a social movement group is named after the principle they first arose to stand for -- "If you like somebody's politics, then they get to commit perjury while in office." "MoveOn, the law doesn't matter." Lovely sentiments, very helpful to the commoners. Cornelius Vanderbilt would approve.

The only thing worse than liking Clinton's politics is the main practical effect MoveOn has so far had -- the death of the Independent Council law that came out of Watergate.
