--- Almost nobody in Russia is "pure" anything. Even the Cossacks, who consider themselves to be some kind of Slavic paragon, have been intermarrying in the Caucasus with the Chechens and everybody else for years (and actually there are Cossacks with Tatar last names). Most people are Russian/Ukrainian/Latvian/Ingush/Jewish/Uzbek whatever.
