To: Mr. David Brooks

Mr. Brooks,

You Wrote: "This is the cult that sent waves of defenseless children to be mowed down on the battlefields of the Iran-Iraq war, that trains kindergartners to become bombs, that fetishizes death, that sends people off joyfully to commit mass murder."

For a second, I thought you were talking about the U.S., Then I realized you were talking about a war that you and your compatriots thought might soften up Iran for our own purposes... things aren't working out like your "friends" planned.

Too bad.

As I write this email, the 1,000th U.S. soldier has just been killed, along with an untold number of Iraqis. I hope you are proud. You and your "friends" are traitors. As a group you have endangered our nation... and for what? 50 years worth of oil? For a way of life that is rapidly becoming untenable?

TREASON.

The problem David, simply put; no Iraqi has slaughtered our children, or burned our towns, or raped our women, but that doesn't stop us from playing "bully on the block". We invade other nations on the flimsiest of lies, and then

keep repeating the very same lies even after they have been exposed... Just like a little child. Then we go into a bizzare form of societal rationalization and denial when someone finally gets desperate enough to strike back.

The mayhem is wearing thin on the American psyche, and blaming other people and cultures for problems we have created for ourselves just exposes you AND your friends for what you are... compulsive, infantile, disingenous, and destructive to the nation... and the world of nations.
