I saw this guy (Zbig's nephew) on MSNBC the other day as Tom Ridge's latest forecast of pre-election doom, and McCain/Lieberman et al. saving us through legislation, crawled past.

It seems like he's reporting on a fait accompli, based on his sub-title "An Inside Look at the Coming Surveillance State". He asks a few moderate questions like, "Is this what a safe America will look like?", and "Is this the new price of freedom?", and, "But will Americans trade liberty for security? Will they have a choice? And can even the most radical measures insure that a 9/11 style attack won’t happen again?" he went on to remark that the DHS was decrepit, perhaps underfunded, etc.
