My guess is that the polls which are coming out showing Kerry behind are designed to depress the vote for a change in the leadership of the executive committee of the ruling class.
^^^^^^ CB: I was wondering about the same thing. Most polls aren't manipulated because people like Doug are keeping a watch on them. But within this overall context, key polls at key moments can be rigged to try to influence voters action, like depressing Kerry turnout by saying Bush is way ahead. This particular poll can be dismissed as an anomoly later. And if it helps Bush win, then it is confirmed in a sense. In other words, there may be little chance to "check" these recent polls showing Bush way ahead for being fixed exactly because they have the impact they are intended to have.
