I talked to an NYC organizer for the march, who told me that they'd view 75,000 as a great success. Big deal. Why advertise something as producing a million bodies and be satisfied with 7.5% of the target? And if he says 75k, that really means 10-20k, no?
I see that NYC's DC 37, the big municipal workers union, endorsed the march. When I mentioned that to this organizer, he said, "Yes! and they're sending two busses!" Two, what's that, 160 people? ANSWER could get almost that many from Normal, Illinois, for an antiwar march.
