RMI? The Lovins' and Hawkin are pimping a Natural Capitalism that is too
surreal to believe. Capitalism is the only way to find solutions to
environmental problems and any other way is doomed. People need to profit
from everything they do in order for it to be of any significance. Look at
the names of their supporters, which I know in and of itself does not
refute any of their research or ideas but it does give you an idea of the
mindset of RMI's base supporters which can be helpful. William Greider,
Peter Senge, Bill McKibbin, Fritjof Capra, Thomas Petzinger Jr. A veritable
who's who of pro-corporate free-market believers in a capitalist
environmental utopia. RMI has more nuts in it than a Payday candy bar. More
to the point go to their own website and click on the pages marked
"Market-Oriented Solutions" or "Corporate Transformations". Read what's
there and tell me you hold these opinions in high regard. Letting them
speak for themselves does more damage to their credibility than I could
ever do.
