> I'm tyring to convey a social dynamic which, I
think, explains one big reason why class consciousness
remains so weak after more than a hundred years of
rational explanation, millions of leaflets, countless
demonstrations, volumes of literature, thousands of
speeches and endless meetings.

So long as people cling to the Western/Abrahamic
notion of self, class consciousness will not arise.
The two are diametrically opposed to each other.

My socialism is rooted in my instinct for freedom--I feel it in my gut. I think that this instinct (not d/s) is basic to all human beingg. But for all too many, especially the workers who are cajolled into passive roles of accepting dominant powers over them, this instinct for freedom is psychologically repressesd. This comes about through the social, cultural, political, economic conditioning humans get within class socieites. I loathe bondage and rituals of submission. I despise slavery of any kind and wage-slavery in particular, along with the dependency structures which it engenders. I refuse my own consent to submit to these fetters, although I admit that as an individual wage-slave, I don't have the power to do much about them. Class conscious solidarity would help us all become free.
