'History repeats itself, first as tragedy, second as farce', than the 
current media uproar over kerry's medals and bush's non-service ?

what is truly amazing, however, is that the farce is interwined with a 
second tragedy-- the war in iraq

one can only imagine what will be the farce in the 2040 presidential 
elections
