The divide is fairly clear. Those who have utterly no interest in politics but only in commenting from the sidelines are in effect justifying their position by the claim that residents of the u.s. are "stupid," though those making this claim are too incompetent as writers to be able to define either "stupid" or "ignorant" in ways that have any particular connection to reality or provide any basis for comparison either across time or space.
It is a stupid conversation, unworthy of anyone who has the remotest pretensions to left politics.
