The blogger "Abu Aardvark":  "A friend of Sy Hersh's
told me today that one month after Hersh broke the Abu
Ghraib story in the New Yorker, the IRS notified him
that he was being audited.

Anyone know if this is true?

Because if it is, it would seem like a really good
story of the inappropriate use of a supposedly
nonpartisan governmental agency for the purpose of
attacking and silencing a critic of the Bush
administration.

If it can be verified by some real journalist out
there, wouldn't that make a good story?"
