that must have happened on your end - I got it intact - but here's a resend as plain text

Greetings to all!

I confess that I had forgotten about the LBO when making my initial list of whom to inform about the new Taxwisdom.org web page; the one that defends the progressive income tax in a theoretically novel way. It offers a presentation of the powerful theoretical arguments that justify the government's use of progressive income taxation as the preferred method of collecting revenue.

After his initial reading of the content of the Taxwisdom.org web page, Cornell economist Robert H. Frank [Luxury Fever (1999), The Winner Take All Society (1995)] said: "-you can put me on record as saying that your arguments on tax policy are among the best that I've seen-"

The arguments are powerful because they are rooted in the same classical assumptions re: market dynamics that have always been championed by conservative economists. The conservative analytical tradition is used to reveal the ultimate folly of Supply-Side tax theory. If you think of yourself as an "economic liberal", this is must reading.

We believe the arguments are so compelling; they could be used in these final weeks of the campaign to win over the support of wealthy Republicans who have been tempted to vote for Kerry because of their disdain for Bush, but are afraid that Kerry would raise their taxes. We feel confident that if they came to understand the arguments presented at <http://www.taxwisdom.org/> they just might find themselves willing to fearlessly invest themselves and their resources in the crusade to remove George Bush from office.

You are invited to visit Taxwisdom.org and print out a copy of the article to read at your leisure. Please be reassured that we have no ulterior motives in referring you to the Taxwisdom.org website. It is simply a place where information can be found. We want a lot of people to know about it because we believe a lot of good would be achieved if politicians, policy makers, and voters became familiar with the arguments it presents. If you find that you agree with us, why not consider helping us to spread the word?

Please feel free to let us know if you share our optimism-
