<P class=text>Russian company balanced profits leap 50% in Jan-Apr</P>
<P class=text>MOSCOW. June 25 (Interfax) - Balanced pretax profits at large and mid-sized enterprises and organizations in Russia came to 631.074 billion rubles in January-April ($22.1 billion), a 48.9% year-on-year increase, the Federal State Statistics Committee reported on Friday. </P>
<P class=text>The numbers indicate that 42,600 Russian enterprises turned combined profits of 729.4 billion rubles, while 31,700 others incurred combined losses of 98.3 billion rubles. </P>
<P class=text>The balanced financials for January-April of 2003 (profits less losses) came to 423.760 billion rubles, or $13.5 billion. </P></DIV><p>
