even allowing for all the qualifiers in that nytimes piece, there is clearly a big contribution to the fund being made by people who will never collect... but lets not miss where their real contribution is being made...

bush, the wicked monster, and his evil, satanic regime are just as supportive of illegal immigration as any bleeding heart, godly liberal, because both support the security of the system and its need for cheap labor...to simply view this as a good guy-bad guy issue pitting nasty minute men against poor people seeking work is to reduce economic power to a comic book battle between super heroes and super schmucks...and guess who the schmucks are?

at some point the contradiction has to be confronted...if it's okay for capital to import labor by breaking laws, because that helps people who desperately need work ( compassionate capitalism? gimme a fuckin break!) , why the hell should any worker obey any law, when that worker is in need?

and why should we go along with capital by reducing the issue to fighting against opposition to illegal immigration, instead of fighting against the force that imports , uses and profits from the illegal workers, while putting the social burden and costs of that illegal immigration on ordinary people?

simply looking at a contribution to social security funds accepts the ridiculous notion that we desperately need an illegal workforce in order to survive...bullshit...they need it!

like most things, it isn't as simple as reduction to good guy-bad guy hollywood simplicity...there are bastards on both sides, but the bigger bastards are on the side of capital...
