We're supposed to snicker at this guy, but I've thought for a while an attack like this would be just the thing to drive the whole country absolutely batshit. With some people already thinking this way, bomb scares in the middle of nowhere, it would take only a couple of easy random attacks to put us in nice self-inflicted spiral. And I don't mean that these Minuteman types help at all.
