There was a time when vernacular architecture in the US wasn't hideous. The landscape is full of lovely buildings designed by amateurs. Something happened after WW2 that led to pandemic ugliness. It's a social problem, and a big one.

Oh yeah, and go fuck yourself with the "stupid."
