Just for the record: there was a very nice march down Broadway by the teaching assistants who are striking at Columbia and Yale and the union supporting them. It looked like a great example of maximizing at least local publicity with minimum means. They marched down one lane of Broadway at rush hour. Cars could get around, and besides, people aren't going South that much at rush hour from the Columbia neighborhood. But all the people pouring out of the subway stations at that hour couldn't help but notice the commotion. And that looked really good. I never noticed notice before what a nice slogan UNITE HERE makes plastered on a sign.
Good luck!
