[lbo-talk] Re: When the wolf cries wolf

First, to L.M.:

Do you really need to quote so much in one chunk to write the reply you just did? This seems to be a rhetorical tactic to get others tired of someone, even though it's your own post that's tiring them.

Next, L.M. writes:

>>Who killed who? Who's working for who? What do you know?>>

I'm asking: why should I give a shit if she's dead? Anymore than any other death? Anymore than this or that one in the tens of thousands dead in Afghanistan and the hundred thousand dead in Iraq (of whom MR claimed to have 'documented' HUNDREDS!).

>>Here's one reason CENTCOM might want Marla Ruzicka dead, and I'm
reasonably sure some distraught individual who thought they were "doing allah's work" was actually a patsy, and blew themself up along with Marla Ruzicka on the instruction of someone who *acted* quite like a muslim radical, or insurgent.>>

We've no more evidence that she was blown up by a suicide bomber or explosive device than we have evidence that the Iraqi government just pulled dozens, no hundreds, no dozens, no hundreds (and knows who did it, too!) of dead bodies from the Tigris River or that dozens of dead bodies were found at a soccer stadium. It might have been US soldiers who killed her--since a lot of people apparently die going through checkpoints that the US military runs.

>> The CIA's had people on the inside
since Saddam Hussein came to power. Currently, the opspec would be to stir up turmoil and make the insurgency look brutal to the outside world in an attempt to discredit it>>

REALLY? You don't say? I'M SHOCKED. Sheesh, Saddam Hussein's government wasn't in control of 2/3s of Iraq when the US finally invaded. The current goal of such operations (psych ops, control of the media for propaganda) would appear to be stirring things up enough to claim that the Sunni insurgency was victimizing the Shia, and that the US had better stay to defeat the insurgency, protect the Shia, and ultimately save Iraq from an all-out civil war. If the US can't get that, I'm sure the US and its Israeli allies will try to start an all-out civil war.

>>There's lots of that kind of thing going on in a number of places
around the globe. Ask any of 'em if they care who they kill.>>

Why don't you start a thread instead of polluting an occupied Iraq-related thread with it?

>>Aid worker uncovered America's secret tally of Iraqi civilian deaths:
A week before she was killed by a suicide bomber, humanitarian worker Marla Ruzicka forced military commanders to admit they did keep records of Iraqi civilians killed by US forces. http://informationclearinghouse.info/article8598.htm>>

I've already read the article. WOW! She also got the US military to admit they've killed HUNDREDS of civilians in Afghanistan and Iraq. With people like her doing their darndest, American democracy and well-intentioned foreign policy will dance with Jesus and Love and there will be goodness and lightness all over, everlasting. The blondes and dark-haired peoples of the world will be shiny happy people holding hands with Sen. Leahy, chanting, let democracy and the federal government work for you, too!

>>And it's nice to know that you've met a brown haired green eyed Iraqi...What's your point? Besides an attempt at practicing the spelling of the word "racialist".>>

That you didn't seem to have a point?
