Maybe start w/ a call to the r/e reporter @ Crain's
Detroit, Jennette Smith? I'd imagine that she'd know
offhand who many of the bigger holders are in town. 

I'd expect some grubber REITs and distressed
investment shops to have significant residential and
commercial interests.
