Yup. They think the Taliban have been effectively squished. They allowed the US in in order to squish the Talibs (I'm using the Russian word). They no longer see a threat from Afghanistan. Therefore, the US can go.

Central Asians I talk to say that's normal. It's Afghanistan. It's Warlordistan. They just want them to keep their violence within the borders. Kind of like how Caucasians talk about Chechnya.
