[lbo-talk] Galloway gets U.S. book deal

"British MP George Galloway, a frequent thorn in the
side of Prime Minister Tony Blair, is writing a book
about his high-profile appearance in the U.S. Senate
in May attacking the U.S.-led war in Iraq.

Industry Web site Publishers Marketplace, which issues
a closely watched daily report on U.S. book deals,
said Galloway signed a "nice deal" -- the Web site's
term for one worth between $1 and $49,000 -- with
not-for-profit U.S. publisher The New Press.

Publishers Marketplace said the book, to be published
in September, would be titled "Mr. Galloway Goes to
Washington: The Brit Who Set Congress Straight about
Iraq...."
