Trust me, although it was written by a professor of Religion and  
Architectural History it is an amazingly deep book on the subject and certainly  more 
clear than most financial economists could be. That is unless, you are well  
versed in stochastic differential equations, because then you can go straight to  
the Journal of Financial Economics or the Journal of Finance.
